Will Microsoft's next-gen Xbox be called 'The New Xbox'? Fresh rumours suggest so.

Xbox.com briefly displayed the name ‘The New Xbox’ recently before quickly removing it from the website.
Spotted by a NeoGaf user who rather smartly grabbed a screenshot of the new name, the image clearly shows name ‘The New Xbox’ as a selectable option alongside the usual wesbite choices.
According to the user, after refreshing the page ‘The New Xbox’ option disappeared. Its appearance lends weight to the rumour that Microsoft could be entering into an Apple-inspired marketing ethos with its next-gen Xbox, taking inspiration from products like The New iPad.
It would be a clear and concise name for a next-gen console, too, removing the unnecessary and increasingly redundant numbers that, especially in the Xbox’s case, have little to do with the console itself.
This could be a hoax, though, but ‘The New Xbox’ name is given weight by the power of Apple’s brands and the new all-encompassing nature that Microsoft is rumoured to be taking the next-gen Xbox.
