A pair of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailers attempt to sell us on the unique weapons and impressive technology of unmanned gears in the game. Instead they promise bosses with a flare for the dramatic (yes!) and robots who look like they're a shoplifter running out of The Leg Store.

The latest DLC from Bethesda is out, Dragonborn, this new DLC brings lots of new features including Dragon Riding!
"Valve has released its weekly Steam chart and pre-orders of Bethesda’s Skyrim: Dragonborn DLC have stolen the top spot from last week’s champ Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.
Here’s the full chart, which saw indie newcomer Antichamber rocketing up to fourth, and – weirdly – places Sleeping Dogs and Omerta: City of Gangsters at joint fifth, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Far Cry 3 at joint tenth.
- Skyrim – Dragonborn DLC
- Hitman: Absolution
- Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
- Antichamber
- Sleeping Dogs and Omerta – City of Gangsters
- Skyrim
- ArmA II: Combined Operations
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II Season Pass
- DmC Devil May Cry

Remember Me
"Remember Me" is a new game by Capcom, the game is based Neo-Paris in the year 2084. Nilin is the main character in this game, Nilin's former employer, Memoreyes, erases her memories to neutralize her and she must discover why and how to restore them.
Here's a gameplay video to show you how the game combat system looks like.
This game just looks amazing, this is definitely something I'd like to play and it's going to be released in May this year
Skyrim Dragonborn - Staff Enchants
So they're adding staff enchants on the latest Skyrim DLC, which is rather awesome I've been waiting for something like this for a while since staves weren't that heavily used because they lacked in some areas but I think this will make me use a staff on my latest toon!
"The Staff Enchanter is a new crafting station added in Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC. It is only located in Tel Mithryn, and can only be accessed after completing the quest "The Reluctant Steward" for MasterNeloth."
You can read more about it on the Skyrim wiki here

Games worth playing in 2013
If you have been wondering what games you should be playing this year, I've made a small list of all games that are worth playing this year! These are all great games, each have their own unique style. I've been a gamer since I was a child, I remember my uncle first bought me the Atari 2600, he got it from the USA and it was such a big deal! I think I was 2-3 years old at the time! I don't really remember but I've been playing since then.
I will be honest, I was never a huge fan of the original Guild Wars, but when Guild Wars 2 was out, I had to check it out, the game didn't fall any short of what I expected, even exceeded what I had hoped for. I played this while watching an Anime called Sword Art Online and this game just made my fantasy come true, immersing you in a ever changing environment and you'll never get bored leveling up! So this is defiantly one for your collection
Anyway, here's the list this is in no particular order, just what came to mind first they're all amazing!
-League of Legends - MOBA
I played League of Legends since it was first out on beta, I think it was run by GOA at the time till it was later on bought by Riot. This game for me is just pure fun, no matter what I always end up going back to this game because I just love the PvP experience in it! Obviously League of Legends is one of the greatest games right now, the developers dedication to make it globally renowned, they recently started Season 3 so any new gamers should join now while the Season just started!
-World of Warcraft - MMORPG
Another game I've been playing since it was first released, I was still in school during my GCSEs and I was so addicted to it, and I've played through all it's content PvP and PvE. I even got really addicted at a point that I sold my account to leave the game forever, but soon after Wrath of the Lich King was released, I fell into temptation again and I started my journey through Azeroth. But as far as gameplay is concerened Wrath of the Lich king and Cataclysm were not exactly top notch, they were easier and more simple to play losing the original essence of WoW. When Mists of Pandaria got released, I was skeptical about continuing WoW but when I got it I fell in love with it again, it offered the same vanilla feel with the hardcore grinding and gearing up.
Guild Wars 2 - MMORPG
Skyrim - Open World RPG
Skyrim, where do I start, the first few minutes of playing it, I didn't fully get into it but after giving it another shot, this is by far my favourite game, and obviously one of the best games out there! I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls trilogy for a long time now, this has set the standards by far, from content, to lore, to gameplay and to killing dragons! I probably won't stop playing this game, I'll always play it and always find something new to do. I'm biased when it comes to Skyrim, but it deserves me being biased! So if you haven't started on Skyrim yet, go get it now! Get the expansion packs too! You will not be disappointed.
Planetside 2 - MMOFPS
Planetside was awesome since the first one, the second one being MMOFPS made it even more fun! I didn't play this game much but it's without a doubt an awesome game to try, especially if you enjoy teaming up with a few friends and shooting some aliens.
Hawken - Mech Shooter
When you think 'mech shooter' the first words that spring to mind are 'lumbering' and / or 'slow'. Hawken changes that, by offering the customisation and versatility of walking tanks and combining them with the pace of a proper PC shooter. It's lead many people to dub the game 'Walking World of Tanks'. That's definitely a compliment, by the way. It's in open Beta now, and there's plenty of game to play through before you need to spend a penny.
Borderlands 2 - RPG FPS
I first played Borderlands on playstation with my brother, we were playing splitscreen and we played it without end and completing the game in less than a week. Now imagine how amazing Borderlands 1 was, okay? Now triple that and you get Borderlands 2, with constant DLC releases you'll never get bored, especially that you can gather a few friends and go multiplayer mode! Now that's some great fun you can't resist!
Call of Duy: Black Ops 2 - FPS
Played Call of Duty since the first one, loved it, loved the second and loved them all! This is my favourite FPS, the single player mode without a doubt has the best stories, best action and really immerses you into that war environment. Followed by the Multiplayer mode, every time I play this I want to be the top player in the game with the most kills, least deaths and hearing that "gg" at the end of it! So if you want to enjoy the modern world of weapons and mayhem then this is the game for you!
Honorable mentions: Farcry 3, Dishonored, Spiderman, Assassin's Creed and Battlefield
So here's my list of all the games that I think you guys should play, there are other games that I didn't list but for a reason... When you play lots and lots of games, certain games have to really captivate you or give you something different and the games listed above did so!
Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Finally got Tekken TT2!
I'm so excited to play it, it's been over due! Really over due, I've been a super huge fan of Tekken for a long time, especially since I'm a pro at it! (HAH!) And it's all thanks to my master Kefka... Anyway I'm gonna be playing this all day, so if anyone is on PSN, lemme know!
Guild Wars 2 changes!
Daniel Merriweather once sang “Ain’t nothing gonna change.” He obviously wasn’t talking about Guild Wars 2, which is set to receive a sprucing up. Dungeons, reward systems and achievement structures are in the spotlight this time.
Robert Hrouda, content manager on the game, discussed plenty of changes to dungeon mechanicsin a recent blog post.
Players can no longer use Waypoints in dungeons unless their party has been slaughtered or exited battle. The “res-rushing” mechanic is also being completely wiped from the game.
Game designer Matt Wuerffel also described upcoming changes to the rewards and achievement system. In his blog post, it is revealed players will now receive a new currency -known as the laurel- when completing daily achievements. One laurel will be earned every day you complete the task, with 10 being awarded if you complete your monthly achievement category.
The achievement system will also be updated with a new user interface and other tweaks. A new reward structure is coming “down the road”.
Cheers, Joystiq.
MASTERS OF THEIR OWN DESTINY: BAHRAINI INDIE GAME DEVELOPERS KICK START THEIR OWN GROUP
Game development in our region is still in its fetus state. Yet, no one can deny that it isn’t happening. Thanks to the internet many developers are creating content left and right while sitting in their own bedrooms. Tools such as Unity and Unreal aren't just simple “RPG Makers” but are actually game engines with multiple extensions and options that are capable of creating AAA titles."In Bahrain, life can get mundane (malal) pretty quickly and a lot of us end up spending our days in front of a monitor, so it was only a matter of time until locals jumped on the indie game dev wagon. Those people have now banded together the form the first official game dev group on the island.
The first meeting took place at BBIC institute in Muharraq. Ameen Altajer, who kicked off the meeting, wanted everyone to know what they’re getting involved in. Game development was new concept to many of us so that intro was probably the hardest part to pull off—which thankfully Ameen managed to do quite well. He further elaborated by describing his passion towards creating games in Unity while showing some of his work. He believes Untiy has a lot of potentials is a great way to start dipping your toes into game development scene without dealing with its overly complicated aspects.
Following Ameen was yours truly talking about what makes a game fun, unique, and valuable in the eyes of the consumer. In my segment I related a lot to my courses from Uni. One of my most memorable moments in class was learning the difference between a good game and a good game that sells. It’s a thin line but it makes a world of difference. The example I gave was relating killer 7 to Resident Evil 4.

While both games were amazing, one aimed for a niche market and sold poorly (Killer 7). The other was a well-established IP that attracted both new and old fans alike and sold millions of copies (Resident Evil 4). I also shared some Arabic influenced games and how we should always aim to be unique as opposed to following the mainstream.
Next was Hamad Al Hassan who had a very nice demo running making his presentation probably the most eye catching. His main focus was on the Unreal Engine. While it’s certainly looks more complicated he expressed that it’s a much more powerful engine than Unity and is built for big teams in mind.
[youtube id="bF6QspwokRw"]
If you were wowed by that demo then you should know that wasn't his first attempt at game development. In fact, Hamad has worked for an official game company called Action Mobile Games where he developed the iOS title 2013 Infected Wars. It’s at this point I think everyone felt inspired. An “Arab game developer who actually worked on a game…and sold it?” it was interesting to utter these words and it definitely gave everyone hope. Currently though, Hamad is working as a freelancer with different groups & projects.

The last, but certainly not least, presenter was Nawaf Saeed who began by asking everyone what they do for a living and “If you were part of car, which part would you be?” (I choose wheel, because I like to roll). Honestly though, this had to be the most interesting part of the meeting as it involved everyone—including the listeners. One of them mentioned how they actually quit their job to focus on game development, which was then replied by a round of applause. It’s at that moment we realized the amount of risk it takes. Making games =\= salary of a decent job in the Arab world—at least none that I've heard of. Big risks are involved and if you expect to demo your game to a bunch of investors, well good luck. Nawaf shared his experience of demoing a game in front of investors. They were unimpressed because the graphics didn't look like Mass Effect. Well, that sucks. Of course this didn't discourage him as he is still perusing his dream.

I think that’s where it all comes down to—dreams. They can sometimes us possess to challenge the impossible, even if it comes at the risk of our own way of life. It’s kinda like a double edge sword or something. Certainly though there’s a lot of work to be done from all ends (programmers, investors, designs, etc.) and that’s probably what the group aims to do--to remove that doubt and make us believe that we are capable of creating videogames. As a person who still wishes to excel at Game Development, I am all in with these guys. And if you’re in Bahrain (or close) and want to make games as well then let me know, we’re just getting started.Click here to check out more pics at my Facebook album. "

Flame and Frost: Prelude
The sky falls and the ground shakes in the lands of the north. Charr and norn refugees crawl from the wreckage of their homes in the Wayfarer Foothills and Diessa Plateau, struggling to find shelter in the south. The call goes out for volunteers to assist the victims in this time of need, when earth and sky seem to have become the enemy…

Flame and Frost: Prelude is the prologue to a multi-stage narrative that will bring big changes to Guild Wars 2 in the months to come.
From January 28—February 4 the regular eight-team/three-round paid tournaments will be replaced by two-team/single-round paid tournaments in the Temple of the Silent Storm map. After the week is over, we’ll add Temple of the Silent Storm to the regular rotation of both free and paid tournaments.
We’re adding a new rotation of daily achievements to add variety and encourage you to explore the open world. You’ll get different achievements every day of the week and a new achievement tracker in the UI to make it easier to track your progress.
You’ll earn these brand-new laurels as a reward for daily and monthly achievements!
Redeem these laurels for rewards like the new Ascended gear and Infusions!
With the new guesting system, you can play with friends on other worlds in the same region (North America, Europe) without changing your homeworld. Guesting is free, but going forward there will be a gem fee for transferring home worlds, so make sure you’re on the home world you want to permanently play on before 28 January!
We’re adding a wide range of new gear that can be purchased with the new laurels.
With 5 new Utility Infusions and 30 Ascended Amulets to choose from, there’s something for every style of player.
We’re making a ton of other improvements to the game this month, such as enhanced performance in WvW, tweaks to the dynamic level adjustment system, and UI improvements, which will be detailed in our release notes.
It’s a new year, which means all-new items and a redesigned favorite in the Gem Store!
From Baby Quaggan Backpacks to Riding Brooms to the revamped Box o’ Fun, you’ll find it all in the Gem Store!

Xbox 720 simply called ‘Xbox', ‘X-Surface' gaming tablet inbound – rumour
Xbox 720 – or whatever you want to call Microsoft’s next home gaming console – is to be called ‘Xbox’, in a move that shadows Apple’s strategy in calling its tablet ‘iPad’. That’s the claim of one site, whose sources suggest that the console will work with all Microsoft ‘Xbox’ branded devices and media, including a new X-Surface gaming tablet. The device is rumoured to have been seen running Unreal Engine 3 games at 60 FPS recently.
Now, I know what most of us are thinking. That this is just another shite rumour and yes maybe that’s true. After all this is the time of the generation where rumours fly from all directions, but we have to report on this stuff just in case it comes to pass, so please bear with us.
So, this new rumour comes from a source close to Microsoft, who has told Pocket Lint that Microsoft is ditching the rumoured ’720′ or ‘Surface’ name from its next console, and is simply going to call it ‘Xbox’ in order to create a unified gaming brand across multiple devices. This stacks up with what a Microsoft exec stated last year.
This applies to a new gaming tablet that the source has called ‘X-Surface’, a device that doesn’t run on either Windows 8 or RT, but a new OS as a standalone portable console. The tablet is said to house connectivity options that let users access media on the new Xbox’s hard drive. It will not have apps of its own, the source says, and it will not have its own Windows-style OS.
The source adds that the X-Surface has been shown internally running Unreal Engine 3 demos at a ‘solid’ 60 FPS, which will use a ‘proprietary 2.4GHz wireless protocol’ that allows it to tether to Xbox 360 controllers and ‘future control devices’.
Elsewhere, the source claims that ‘Xbox’ will house an 8-core CPU and that each core will run at 1.9GHz. The tipster also confirms rumours of an 800MHz CPU, stating, “One benchmark used internally has been a custom build Watch Dogs E3 demo which runs at 55-60fps with only five cores at 100 per cent.”
Finally, the source states that the ‘Xbox’ will house an OS that looks similar to Windows 8 in some ways, but that it is not a full version of Windows 8. Instead it will take two CPU cores to run and will manage multi-tasking and other functions. The source called it, “Very much akin to Nintendo’s offerings on 3DS and Wii U – but on a far larger scale.”
The new ‘Xbox’ controller is said to be similar to the Xbox 360 pad, with the same button layout.
That’s what Pocket Lint’s source says. Now judge for yourself if it’s true or not below.

Sign Up for Elder Scrolls Online Beta Test Now!
The Elder Scrolls Online is finally opening the doors to Tamriel for beta testing.
Game maker ZeniMax Online Studios, in conjunction with Bethesda Softworks, announced Monday that fans can now officially sign up for the beta program, which will begin at a later, undisclosed date.
Bethesda announced in May that the popular Elder Scrolls role-playing game — almost two decades old — was being developed as a massively multiplayer online (MMO) title. The game was described last summer as an entirely new chapter of Elder Scrolls history, set before the events of Skyrim.
"We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted," ZeniMax director Matt Firor said in May.
Beta testing allows the game studio to gather positive and negative feedback from fans before finalizing the product for launch. It also provides a sort of tease for what's to come, and hopefully generates word-of-mouth excitement for the eventual game, which is expected to reach PCs and Macs later this year.
[youtube id="0jNT5cMwxw0"]
For the first time in Elder Scrolls history (including titles like Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind) the game will expand from its single-player roots to go online as a massively multiplayer undertaking. The new Web-based title will still take place on the continent of Tamriel, set 1,000 years before Skyrim, according to NBCNews.com. Players will join a war to take control of the capital providence of Cyrodiil and the throne of Tamriel, the site said.
"This was the chance to actually deliver the whole world of Tamriel and let players explore the whole thing and do it with friends," Firor told NBCNews.com.
Neither ZeniMax nor Bethesda immediately responded to PCMag's request for comment.
Beta testing sign-ups are open to the public, but only a limited number of people will be chosen.
"It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years," Firor said during last year's reveal. "The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made — and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise."
As an added treat, the company also released an action-packed, almost six-minute-long cinematic trailer for The Elder Scrolls Online (below).
Earlier this week, Bethesda announced that the latest Skyrim add-on, Dragonborn, will be available on Steam for PC users beginning Feb. 5.
