Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailers tool up, trash tons of tech

A pair of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance trailers attempt to sell us on the unique weapons and impressive technology of unmanned gears in the game. Instead they promise bosses with a flare for the dramatic (yes!) and robots who look like they're a shoplifter running out of The Leg Store.

Remember Me

"Remember Me" is a new game by Capcom, the game is based Neo-Paris in the year 2084. Nilin is the main  character in this game, Nilin's former employer, Memoreyes, erases her memories to neutralize her and she must discover why and how to restore them.

Remember Me is an action adventure game, the fighting system lets players customise their combos in the "Combo Lab" this allows players to create a fighting style to their liking. To create this, there is something called " Pressens" and it contains four talent trees, this will allow customization of the fighting style. There are a total of 24 "Pressens" and this has the general system of unlocking them by gaining special leveling points called "Procedural Mastering Power" and for short PMP, this is unlocked by doing combos and earning Focus.

Here's a gameplay video to show you how the game combat system looks like.

This game just looks amazing, this is definitely something I'd like to play and it's going to be released in May this year

Skyrim Dragonborn - Staff Enchants

So they're adding staff enchants on the latest Skyrim DLC, which is rather awesome I've been waiting for something like this for a while since staves weren't that heavily used because they lacked in some areas but I think this will make me use a staff on my latest toon!

"The Staff Enchanter is a new crafting station added in Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC. It is only located in Tel Mithryn, and can only be accessed after completing the quest "The Reluctant Steward" for MasterNeloth."

You can read more about it on the Skyrim wiki here

German Organization Sues Valve!

The issue of used games and game sharing is a big one in the gaming industry these days.  This current lawsuit is being carefully watched by Microsoft and Sony, because it could actually provide the means for them to lock a game onto a console (i.e: if you buy a game for the next generation Sony/Microsoft console, you will only be able to play it on your own console, and not your friend's or anyone else's).

VZBV, a German organization, is not happy with Steam's end user agreement, where it states that you are not allow to share certain games and some games are not trade-able.  As you are all aware of by now, steam games are locked onto an individuals account, and VZBV is not happy with that (as with many).  Now the article I've posted here is merely a summary, click here to go to the source and read the entire thing in detail.

Injustice Targeting the Hardcore Fighting Gamers!

A recent article on shoryuken discusses an interview with Netherrealm Studios and details how Injustice is serious about become THE fighting game.  Not only is it adding an online training feature, its also adding an interesting push block mechanism in game.  You will also have the option to turn off stage environments if you don't feel comfortable with them.  The biggest highlight is for those of you who love your arcade stick, Injustice will allow you to change to 'street fighter style' controls.  The story will also play a major role in the development of the game.  Click on the source to read more!

Mojang’s reported earnings for 2012 were $240 million

"Minecraft developer Mojang’s reported earnings for 2012 were $240 million (£152 million), according to comments made by CEO Carl Manneh and reported by Swedish site IT24.

“It’s almost hard to grasp,” Manneh told Swedish author Thomas Arnroth, who is writing a book on the developer. “It’s easy to become a bit blind working at Mojang. Everything’s happening so fast and it’s going so well. One almost needs to pinch oneself to know it’s for real.
“When we started Mojang in 2010 we made a budget for the first year. Three months later we just trashed it – it became totally irrelevant. We still have the same feeling now. There simply are no good ways to forecast how much money we are going to make.”
Responding to the report on Reddit, which cites Markus “Notch” Persson’s take as $101.4 million, Persson said having such a vast amount of money was tad overwhelming.
“It’s weird as fuck. I grew up in a relatively poor family, but once I got a decent job, I never really had to worry about money,” he said. “My hobbies were playing games and programming, so there wasn’t any real drain. I could eat out when I wanted to, and go to the movies without having to save up for it. I still had to save up for trips and to be able to buy computers or consoles, but that just felt normal.
“Now, all of the sudden, as a result of how modern society works, I managed to somehow earn a shit-ton of money. I still like playing games and programming, and once I had the latest computer and consoles, there really isn’t much more to spend the money on than traveling. I might eventually get a driver’s license so I can buy a car.
“I think the right way to use money like this is to set a decent portion aside to make sure my family is comfortable, spend some on living out your dreams, and then try to put the rest towards making society a better place.
“For me, this includes charities that help children, and charities that help promote freedoms I think are vital in the coming dozens of years, such as the Electronic Frontier Foundation.”
Across all platforms, Minecraft sold over 15 million copies in 2012, and as of January 2013, has hit the 20 million mark."
Thanks, GI International.

Gamers Paradise - Gaming Desk - A new way to play!

Gamer Paradise desk is the first desk designed completely for computer enthusiasts who want a premium desk.

Overview

The Gamers Paradise desk is the first desk designed completely for computer enthusiasts who want a premium desk. The concept stems from the idea that a desk should acts like an extension of your computer and all computer devices, including the computer & monitor, directly plug into the desk. This concept makes it easier to plug in and maneuver devices without awkwardly bending over or reaching behind your computer, as such with current desks. It also allows you to avoid the tangled wire mess beneath the desk, by plugging in the computer and its devices directly into the desk.
The desk will be built in Canada, in our facilities.

Check us out on our website: www.gpdesks.com

Dimensions

60 width x 26 length x 2.75 height (just the table top)

Simple schematic of the desk

Our Team

I have assembled a top notch team team, each with their own skills and talents that bring something to the table. First myself Im a Product and graphic designer for almost ten years and a gamer for about 25 years.
Andrew Frelas - An electrical engineer
Matija Bosnjakovic - Business Analyst
Thomas Spatafora - Carpenter and furniture design

BONUS

$110,000 funding

If we reach $100,000 in funding, we will upgrade the legs on the desk to be adjustable. It will help if your floors are not level.

$150,000 funding

We will add on a hanger for your head phones made from plexiglass.

USB

The Gamers Paradise desk is equipped with 7 USB ports that are strategically placed on the desk’s surface and function to connect to your computer and/or its devices. This is the first concept of its kind and is one of the many ways the Gamers Paradise desk is superior to all other computer enthusiast desks. Two of the ports are located on the front left side and allow the user to quickly plug in a portable hard drive, USB key, Ipod or even USB head phones, directly into the computer. And we can’t think of anyone who enjoys changing the batteries in their wireless mouse or dealing with the mess of cords around their desk, so we’ve placed another 3 USB ports in the centre of the desk. These ports allow the user the flexibility of plugging in wired or wireless devices, such as a keyboard, mouse, etc. There are 2 more ports located on the back of the desk for larger devices, such as a printer.

Power

The inclusion of power into the desk is another unique aspect to Gamers Paradise desk. Not only will this allow to power up the desk and its components, but it also provides fully functioning power plugs to power up the monitor, printer, etc. There are a total of 6 power plugs located near the back of the desk.

Monitor - HDMI

Since the user is already plugging in all their devices into the desk, it only makes sense to plug in their monitor as well. The monitor(s) can be easily plugged into the desk by using HDMI cables. Saving the user from a wire clutter, which would normally occur with a conventional desk.

Lights - LED

The Gamers Paradise desk has 2 light bars located at the back of the desk to illuminate the area behind your monitor. Not only does this provide ambient light but also helps to keep your eyes from straining, so you can work harder or play longer. The light feature is optional, the user can turn the bars on and off as per their preferences.

Audio

The desk comes handy with an audio switch located on the left hand side, which allows the user to quickly switch from using their headphones to a stereo sound system, without the need of unplugging or switching setting on their computer.

Other Features

  • Highly durable textured carbon fiber vinyl
  • finish Highly durable steel trim
  • Computer tower station tested to support 100 pounds
